Pedicure in Üsküdar, Istanbul | Foot and Nail Care - Rituelle Spa

A pedicure is a complete foot treatment: the toenails are trimmed and shaped, hardened areas on the heels and soles are softened, and the skin is thoroughly moisturised. It is a genuine break for anyone who stands all day, walks long distances, wears closed shoes or trains regularly.

At Rituelle Spa in Üsküdar, on the Anatolian side of Istanbul, the treatment takes place in a calm setting. The goal is not only a tidy appearance but feet that feel lighter and more comfortable at the end of the day.

How the treatment works

The session follows these steps:

  • Foot bath and cleansing: The feet are prepared with warm water and a softening solution, which relaxes the skin and eases the steps that follow.
  • Nail shaping: The toenails are trimmed to a suitable length and filed along a straight line. Keeping the corners from being rounded too far helps reduce the risk of ingrowth.
  • Callus and hardened skin care: Thickened skin on the heels, the sides of the feet and under the toes is softened and gently reduced, without forcing the skin.
  • Cuticle care: The cuticles are softened, gently pushed back and the nail edge is tidied.
  • Moisturising and massage: A care cream or oil is applied, followed by a short foot and ankle massage.
  • Optional polish: If you like, the session finishes with a care coat or the colour of your choice.

Hygiene matters even more in foot care. Files, buffers, cotton and the single-use basin liners are renewed for every guest, and metal tools are cleaned and sterilised after each session. This is a standard we do not compromise on.

Who is it for?

  • People who are on their feet all day or walk long distances
  • Anyone with cracked heels or thickened skin
  • Those who wear closed or narrow shoes
  • Runners and regular gym-goers
  • Guests preparing for summer, a holiday or a special occasion
  • Residents of Üsküdar and the wider Anatolian side who want to make foot care a regular habit

If you have an ingrown nail, thickened or discoloured nails, a suspected fungal condition, diabetes, a circulatory condition or an open wound, please consult your doctor before booking. A pedicure is a cosmetic treatment, not a substitute for medical care, and in such cases the treatment may not be suitable.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a pedicure take?

The condition of your feet, the amount of hardened skin and whether you would like polish all affect the timing. Share what you need when you book and we will confirm how much time we will set aside.

Can I bring my own polish?

Yes. If you have a colour or brand you prefer, we are happy to use it; otherwise you can choose from the shades available in the salon.

How do you handle hygiene?

The foot basin is prepared with a fresh single-use liner for every guest. Files, buffers and cotton are single use. Metal tools are cleaned, sterilised and stored after each use.

How often should I have a pedicure?

Toenails grow more slowly than fingernails, so a treatment every four to six weeks is enough for most people. If your heels harden quickly or you train intensively, a shorter interval may help.

What should I pay attention to afterwards?

We suggest wearing comfortable rather than tight shoes straight after the session, keeping up daily moisturising at home, and not rounding the nail corners too far.

We are located at Mimar Sinan Mahallesi, Paşa Limanı Caddesi No:4, Üsküdar/İstanbul. We are open weekdays 09:00–21:00 and weekends 11:00–22:00.
